Maharashtra: ‘Janta Curfew’ Imposed In Jalgaon For Three Days

Jalgaon, 9th March 2021: Considering the increasing number of corona patients, District Collector Abhijeet Raut has announced a three-day public curfew on Friday, Saturday and Sunday as per the instructions given by Guardian Minister Gulabrao Patil. Most of the markets in the city will be closed during these three days except for essential services. The administration along with Guardian Minister Gulabrao Patil have appealed to all to strictly abide by the public curfew.
The number of corona patients in the Jalgaon district is increasing rapidly. As a result, a night curfew has been imposed in the district. Public events have also been banned. However, Guardian Minister Gulabrao Patil directed the district collector to observe the Janta curfew on Friday, Saturday and Sunday to break the chain of the corona. According to this, there will be a three-day public curfew in Jalgaon city. This was announced at a press conference today.
The public curfew will start from 8 pm on March 11 in Jalgaon city limits and will end on March 15, 2021, at 8 am. In the meantime, services other than emergency services will be closed.
District Collector Abhijeet Raut appealed to the traders and people to cooperate with this curfew. Superintendent of Police Dr Praveen Mundhe, Commissioner Satish Kulkarni, Surgeon Dr N. S. Chavan were also present during the press conference.
All schools, colleges, educational institutions, markets, vegetable shops, salons, all private offices, religious places, public events, grocery stores, all non-essential shops, liquor shops. , Garden, pantry, handcarts, cinemas, gym, swimming pool etc. will be closed.
Medical emergency services, inter-district passenger transport, buses, trains and airlines; Schools and colleges with planned examinations, banks and financial institutions, agricultural centres, garages, workshops, couriers, all types of freight, covid vaccination will continue as well as petrol and diesel for essential service vehicles. The directives suggest that there should be half attendance in government offices. It was also stated at the press conference that those who have been exempted from the public curfew should carry the identity cards of their establishments or services.
If we want to break the chain of carona, we will have to impose restrictions like public curfew, said Guardian Minister Gulabrao Patil and appealed to the people and traders to cooperate.
