Mumbai, 5th February 2024: Students who, despite not clearing their higher secondary examination, have successfully completed their graduation through open universities with preparatory programs, are now granted an opportunity to participate in the state’s Common Entrance Test (CET) for the three-year LLB program.

This decision follows a circular issued by the state’s CET cell, aligning with a directive from the Aurangabad Bench of the Bombay High Court.

According to the court’s order, the circular stipulates, “…such candidates are allowed to fill the CET application form and to participate in the centralized admission process for the law course.” In case these students encounter any challenges while filling out the form, they are instructed to communicate their issues by emailing [email protected], mentioning the problem and their registered mobile number. The deadline for such communication is set for 12 pm on February 10.

It is noteworthy that last year, the CET cell had already relaxed the norms to facilitate the application process for students from open universities.

This move aims to provide equal opportunities for those who have pursued their graduation through alternative educational paths.
