Maharashtra: Over 5 Lakh People Vaccinated In One Day

Mumbai, 26 April 2021: Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray today informed that Maharashtra has achieved a milestone in its COVID vaccination drive today.

“Over 5 lakh citizens vaccinated in a day! Soon, the mark of 1.5 crore citizens vaccinated will be achieved”, he tweeted.

Meanwhile, a total of 71,736 patients were discharged while 48,700 new cases were reported in the state. 524 COVID-19 deaths reported in the state today.

According to the health department, till now 36.01 lakh patients have been discharged after full recovery until today. The recovery rate in the state is 82.92%, while the case fatality rate in the state is 1.5%.  Out of 2,59,72,018 laboratory samples 43,43,727 have been tested positive (16.72%) for COVID-19 until today. Currently, 39,78,420 people are in home quarantine and 30,398 people are in institutional quarantine.
