Maharashtra: Recruitment Process For 15,511 Posts To Start Soon

Pune, 14th July 2021: Public Health Department, Medical Education Department etc. have been exempted from recruitment restrictions and the process of filling a total of 15,511 posts from Group A to C through Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) will be started soon, informed Minister of State for General Administration Dattatraya Bharane.

He said that a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in connection with the examinations conducted through MPSC and recruitment of vacant posts. Some important decisions have been taken in this meeting. Departments of Public Health, Medical Education, etc. have been exempted from recruitment restrictions. Also, the finance department has approved to fill 4,417 posts of group A; 8,031 posts of group B and 3,063 posts of group raw from the year 2018. Accordingly, action is being taken to check the reservation of these posts and implement the posts expeditiously.

In order to carry out the pending recruitment process at the candidate interview stage, four vacancies of MPSC members are required to be filled. The meeting also directed to complete all the procedures for filling up the posts of members by the end of July. Apart from this, the issue of increasing the members of the Maharashtra Public Service Commission on the lines of the Kerala Public Service Commission was also discussed in this meeting so that future interviews can be carried out at a faster pace.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) annually announces the schedule for the next full year examinations. Instructions have also been given to announce the schedule of MPSC examinations on the lines of UPSC.
