Maharashtra reports highest one-day spike of 11,147 Covid-19 cases

Mumbai, July 30, 2020: A total of 8860 patients were discharged and 11,147 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Maharashtra while 3309 new cases were reported in Pune today. Today, 266 COVID-19 deaths reported in the state, Case fatality rate in the state is 3.58%. The current count of COVID19 patients in the state of Maharashtra is 4,11,798 informed State Health Minister Rajesh Tope.

According to the health department, 2,48,615 patients have been cured while the Case fatality rate in the state is 3.58%. As of today, there are 1,48,150 active cases in the state. The recovery rate in the state is 60.37% while the fatality rate in the state is 3.58%. Currently, 9,04,141 people are in home quarantine and 40,546 people are in institutional quarantine.

 

Out of 20,70,128 laboratory samples, 4,11,798 have been tested positive (19.89%) for COVID-19 until today.

 

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 1,583,792 across the country. Out of this, 1,020,582 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 34,968 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 528,242 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
