Viman Nagar: 100-year-old woman recovers from COVID, returns home in 10 days
Pune, July 30, 2020: Amidst the tensed environment caused due to the rising cases of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19), a 100-year old granny brings hope to win and positivity by conquering over the pandemic.
Bai Darade, who is in her centenarian year has fought the battle of COVID-19 unscathed, recovered, and returned home. She had no underlying illness, however, as her family members got affected by the virus, she was also tested positive.
Darade lives with her married daughter, son-in-law and their family in Chandannagar. After her daughter who has been suffering a heart ailment and had undergone a bypass surgery a few years ago had shown some symptoms. Following which the entire family got tested and much to their horror, all of them were COVID-19 positive.
Her son-in-law Hari Guge said, “I and my wife both got tested and resulted to be COVID-19 positive. I am asymptomatic, so have been asked to be home quarantined. Whereas, my wife is being treated at Ruby Hall clinic. Even our mother got infected. But she recovered in 10 days and returned home.”
The doctors and staff at the COVID Care Centre, Viman Nagar, where she was being treated rejoiced over her recovery and sent her back home with joy and flowers.
