Pune, 10th April 2021: “Students health is the topmost priority of the State Government. After a meeting with Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar the decision about the class 10th and 12th examination will be taken”, informed state school education minister Varsha Gaikwad.

There is pressure from all quarters of society to postpone the state board examinations for class 10 and 12 in the backdrop of rising Covid-19 positive cases. Gaikwad through her social media accounts set a conversation with the people in the state.

“There should not be any halt or stop in the education of the children. The government is trying to balance it”, she said.

She further mentioned, “on one side the students are under stress over examination and studies while on the other it is the rising Covid-19 cases.”

“Parents are confused as to how to make their ward (s) appear for the examination. We have organised various workshops through the education department between the teachers and the parents. Similarly, we are in talks with TCS and Google India”, she informed.

“We are in talk with the students through different mediums. Yet students’ health is the prime responsibility of Maha Vikas Aghadi government”, she said adding that the students, however, should keep studying without thinking much about the conduct of the examination.
