Pune, 2nd July 2026: The Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) has disposed of a consumer complaint against real estate major Mahindra Lifespace Developers Limited and co-respondent Nikita Rajhans, declaring the dispute settled after the developer refunded the complete booking amount to the homebuyer.

The order was passed by Manoj Saunik, Chairperson of MahaRERA, following a hybrid-mode hearing held on June 29, 2026, and officially signed on June 30, 2026.

The case, registered as Complaint No. CC12601205 (Sr. No. 72), involved a property under MahaRERA Project Registration No. P52100055161. The complainant, Shubham Shivajirao Karale, had approached the regulatory authority seeking a refund of his initial booking deposit.

At the scheduled hearing, the complainant was absent for the second consecutive time. However, the respondents were represented by Advocate Subhasree, who informed the bench that the developer had already processed a full refund.

According to the developer’s submission, the entire booking amount of Rs. 4,99,500/- was successfully returned to the complainant. Advocate Subhasree argued that because the financial transaction was complete, no further grievances or claims survived for adjudication under the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016.

Taking note of the complainant’s repeated absence and the proof of refund submitted by the developer, Chairperson Manoj Saunik ruled:
“The learned advocate for the respondent further submitted that the entire booking amount of Rs. 4,99,500/- has been duly refunded to the complainant and that no grievance or relief survives for adjudication. In view of the above, the captioned complaint is disposed as settled.”
