MAHATMA GANDHI MEANS INDIA Said Padmashree Prof.Dr. Pritam Singh; Bharat Asmita National Award Felicitated

Pune, 3rd February 2020: “India is known in the world by Mahatma Gandhi. The thoughts never die. The thoughts of Mahatma Gandhi are showing the path of peace to the world today. India is following the thoughts of Gandhiji. Hence Mahatma Gandhi means India.” Said, Padmashri Prof. Dr. Pritam Singh, Former Director, Indian Institute of Management and Director General of MEERI.
He was speaking after accepting the Bharat Asmita Acharya Shrestha Award’ Bharat Asmita National Award 2020 was felicitated by MITWPU, Bharat Asmita Foundation & MITSOG at MIT, Kothrud, Pune. Famous Scientist Dr. (Ms.) – Gagandeep Kang, Professor in Christian Medical College, Vellore was awarded with ‘Bharat Asmita Tantra-Vidnyan Shrestha Award’.
The award includes of Rs.1.25 lacs, Memento & Citation.
Senior Scientist Padmavibhushan Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar, World Famous Computer Scientist Dr. Vijay Bhatkar and Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad, Founder President, MITWPU felicitated the Awards.
Dr. Chandrakant Pandav, Consultant WHO, Rahul Vishwanath Karad, Executive President, MITWPU. Prof. Dr. Mangesh T. Karad, Executive President, MITADT, Prof. S.S.Darade –Patil, Dean, MIT, Pune, Dr. N.T.Rao, V.C.MITWPU, Pro VC Dr. Milind Pande, Dr. R.M. Chitnis, and Prof. D.P.Apte were present on this occasion.
Prof. Dr. Pritam Singh said, “Gandhiji was asked that who is a great man. He said the one who is a good leader is a great man. There are 7 mantras of life. Everybody should have aim of life. It is meaningless to live life. Our target should be like Himalayas and our thoughts should be like it. You should live life so that your thoughts should be followed. Everybody has to work in your life. But your deed should be your identity. You should not live for death. Your focus should always be good and your leadership should not be taking your best. The Vedas have given the path of life.”
Prof. Dr. Gagandeep Kang said, “Population growth is a severe problem. The aged people as well as the children are fighting with the disease because of in adequate means in rural area. The life has give to many people by developing the vaccination for the severe disease. India will lead the world in the vaccination development. Science, technology & health care are the laboratories of life. The students also should think what can be done in the field of healthcare by coordinating education and technology.”
Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad said,” to great personalities are felicitated today. This institute is working for world peace. The thoughts of Swami Vivekananda has showed me the direction to my life. Swami Vivekananda showed the path of happiness and peace. He had said that the youth will change the future. India will emerge as the knowledge Corridor in 21st century.
Dr. Vijay Bhatkar said, “The teachers and institutes show the way to everybody. Management education and research give shape to the society. The Women scientists are contributing much to country. Hence they are leading in this age.”
Dr.Raghunath Mashelkar said, “Dr. Vishwanath Karad is a living university. We talk much about women empowerment but the society do not give them respect. 2019 was the important year for women scientist. Indian Society for science and royal society should work together in the future.”
Rahul Vishwanath Karad said, “Bharat Asimita National Award is prestigious one in the country. So many philosophers, scientist and learned people are felicitated by this.”
Dr.N.T.Rao gave the introductory speech. Prof. Gautam Bapat compeered the function. Prof. D.P.Apte gave the vote of thanks.
