Punekar News Impact: Mahindra Opens CSD Sales for XUV 700 and Scorpio N After 2.5 Years For Defence Personals

Pune, 19th January 2024: In a significant development, Mahindra and Mahindra have recently commenced the sale of all their vehicles, including the highly anticipated XUV 700 and Scorpio N, through the Canteen Stores Department (CSD) exclusively for defense personnel. This move comes after nearly 2.5 years of continuous efforts and appeals from defense personnel on social media platforms, particularly Twitter.
Baneshwar Banerjee, Vice President and National Sales Head at Mahindra and Mahindra, confirmed to Punekar News that the company initiated the sale of all their vehicles through CSD for defense personnel just a week ago. He acknowledged that there were some liability issues with the defense sector, which have now been successfully resolved. This breakthrough allows Mahindra to extend its offerings, including flagship models like the XUV 700 and Scorpio N, to the esteemed defense community.
The decision to make Mahindra vehicles available through CSD was prompted by persistent requests from defense personnel on social media platforms. Users on Twitter, including Nick and Aswin Kumar, expressed disappointment over the unavailability of Mahindra’s latest models through the CSD portal for defence personnel. Nick highlighted the preference of defense officers for indigenous products, specifically showing interest in Mahindra’s vehicles. Aswin Kumar, on the other hand, expressed frustration after waiting for two years for the Scorpio N and XUV 700 to be accessible through the CSD portal, emphasizing the importance of Mahindra’s participation in providing indigenous cars for defense personal.
@18002096006 Highly disappointed that despite waiting for 2 yrs the most awaited Scorpio N and XUV 700 are not available to defence personals through CSD portal and no reply from Mahindra as well why Mahindra doesn’t want defence people to use their indigenous car its high time

It's really surprising that Mahindra is not concerned about providing XUV 700 through CSD.
Same is with MG vehicles.
