Maid and Accomplices Rob Rs 16.20 Lakh in Pimpri Chinchwad After Drugging Family

Nigdi, 26th November 2024: A maid and her accomplices robbed a homeowner of jewellery and cash worth ₹16.20 lakh by mixing his tea and coffee with sedatives. The incident occurred in the Nigdi Pradhikaran area of Pimpri Chinchwad.

Devendra Lunkad (67), a resident of Pradhikaran, reported the incident to the Nigdi Police Station. A case has been registered against a woman identified as Anamika (full name and address unknown) and her three accomplices.

According to police reports, Anamika, employed as a maid in Lunkad’s house, conspired with her accomplices to drug Lunkad’s son and daughter-in-law by mixing sedatives into their tea and coffee. Once they were unconscious, the group stole gold ornaments and cash worth ₹16.20 lakh. Assistant Police Inspector Ambarish Deshmukh of the Nigdi Police Station is leading the investigation.
