Mass Vaccination Drive Of Construction Workers In Pimpri Chinchwad

Pune, September 22, 2021: Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Health Department, CREDAI-Pune Metro and Pharande Spaces jointly launched a free of cost, special mass vaccination drive for construction workers and their families in Pimpri Chinchwad area recently. The campaign was inaugurated at Pharande Spaces’ construction project at Punawale by Rajesh Patil, Municipal Commissioner of Pimpri Chinchwad.

Makrand Nikam, Pimpri Chinchwad Joint City Engineer, Dr. Pavan Salve, Additional Medical Officer, Dr. Varsha Dange, RCH Officer, Anil Pharande, President, CREDAI-Pune Metro , Chairman and Managing Director of Pharande Spaces, Akash Pharande, Managing Director, Abhinav Pharande from Pharande Spaces, Vinod Chandwani, Vice President, CREDAI-Pune Metro, Satish Agarwal, Santosh Karnavat, Managing Committee Members of CREDAI-Pune Metro, Sapna Rathi, Convenor, Labour Welfare Committee , Milind Talathi, Co-convener, Kunal Chugh and Leena Kukreja, Labour Welfare Committee Members, Dr. D. K. Abhyankar, Director General, Urmila Julka, General Manager, Samir Parkhi, Labour Welfare Officer, Santosh Takbhate, Commercial Executive from CREDAI-Pune Metro and  Abraham Barik, HR Head of Pharande Spaces were present on the occasion.

As the Real Estate sector is slowly re-emerging after the pandemic period, CREDAI Pune Metro is emphasizing on maximum vaccinations of labourers, which accordingly will also help speed up the construction work.

Speaking on the occasion, Rajesh Patil said, “The COVID pandemic is still not over as we are now on the threshold of the third wave. Vaccination is the only effective way to deal with this crisis. The vaccination drive, jointly undertaken by PCMC’s Health Department and CREDAI-Pune Metro will benefit construction workers as well as their families. Vaccines earlier were not available with the Municipal Corporation for undertaking such mass campaigns but now that the availability has increased, we are happy to be able to organize such massive drives. We are also being supported by doctors, nurses and paramedical staff in Pimpri Chinchwad.”

Anil Pharande said, “CREDAI-Pune Metro is committed to vaccinate maximum number of construction labourers in Pune, Pimpri Chinchwad and surrounding areas. CREDAI has vaccinated over 20,000 labourers in Pune in over two months and aims to vaccinate nearly 7,000 labourers along with their family members in Pimpri Chinchwad areas by September 30. The Labour Welfare Committee also conducts Free Health Check-up Camps and BOCW Registration for Construction Workers
