MBA Exam Paper Leak at Savitribai Phule Pune University Prompts Exam Cancellation
Pune, 23rd December 2023: In a concerning incident during the winter semester examination at Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), it has come to light that the paper for the Legal Aspect of Business in the MBA course has been compromised. Social media posts reveal that the question paper was circulated from an examination center, prompting the university to take immediate action by canceling the examination for this subject.
Dr. Mahesh Kakade, Director, Board of Examination and Evaluation, confirmed this decision and announced the rescheduled exam for Legal Aspect of Business, slated for December 26.
The ongoing October 2023 session examinations at Savitribai Phule Pune University, which commenced on November 21, have faced an unexpected challenge with this breach of security. While exams for various courses are being conducted based on their semester completion periods, the MBA course exams began on December 11. Today, on December 22, it was discovered that the first-year MBA 2019 Revise, first-semester question paper for Legal Aspect of Business (111) had been circulated from an examination center.
Given the importance of maintaining the sensitivity, confidentiality, and sanctity of examinations, the university promptly decided to cancel the first-year MBA examination for Legal Aspect of Business on December 22.
Dr Kakade emphasized the gravity of the situation and reassured students that a reexamination for this subject is scheduled for December 26, taking place from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm.
