Medical Care Provided Support To 108 Patients During Ganpati Immersion Processions In Pune
Pune, 11th September 2022: During the immersion procession, Dial 108 provided medical care to 108 patients in Pune city and Narayangaon in the district. Out of these, 84 people were treated on the spot, while 24 people had to be shifted to the hospital, the doctor informed.
Dial 108 District Manager Priyank Javale said, “During the procession, 108 ambulances were deployed at 14 places in the city like Alka Talkies, Belbag Chowki, Shivajinagar, Mandai, Omkareshwar, Shaniwar Wada, Tulshibaug, and Narayangaon Rural Hospital.”
He offered this service during the procession.
One patient suffered a heart attack at Vijay Talkies, and five had minor accidents. Three people fell from a height while watching the procession. Also, the number of patients who were given vertigo and other types of services was 16. Polytrauma, the number of patients with injuries and various bone fractures, were 14. One person fell from the tractor under a bridge on another person.
On Friday midnight, a 108 ambulance took a patient from Tilak Chowk towards Shaniwarwada on Kelkar road. But, due to the crowd engrossed in the sound of street DJs, the vehicle had to turn back as they did not give space to the ambulance.
