Meeting on Election Expenditures Held at Pune District Collector’s Office

Pune, 19th December 2024: In connection with the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Elections, a meeting on election expenditures was held at the Pune District Collector’s Office today. The meeting was attended by Election Expenditure Observers Sumit Kumar, Prem Prakash Meena, Umesh Kumar, Amit Kumar, Dr. A. Venkadesh Babu, In-charge District Collector Santosh Patil, Additional District Collector Sonappa Yamgar, Deputy District Election Officer Minal Kalaskar, and other officers and staff handling election expenditure.
Santosh Patil stated that out of a total of 303 candidates in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Elections, 301 have submitted information regarding their election expenses. He added that the expenses of the concerned candidates have been regularly checked, and candidates have rectified any errors found during the checks promptly. Candidates who have not yet submitted their election expenses are urged to do so immediately. The details of candidates who fail to submit their election expenses will be forwarded to the Election Commission of India (ECI), Patil informed.
During the meeting, suggestions were made by the candidates and their representatives regarding election expenses, and the Election Expenditure Observers and the District Collector provided relevant information in response.
