Pune, 11st September 2026: The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has extended the deadline for applications for its lottery of 4,462 flats in Pune, Pimpri Chinchwad and areas under the PMRDA by one month.

Applicants can now submit their forms until October 15, following delays in the online verification of income documents, including ITRs, and domicile certificates. More than 50,000 applications have been received so far.

The online application process for flats under the 15 per cent social and 20 per cent inclusive housing categories of the Pune Board began on August 24. As part of the process, domicile certificates and income documents uploaded by applicants are verified online by the respective authorities, while ITRs are verified by the Income Tax Department.

However, delays in verification were creating difficulties for applicants and preventing many from completing the subsequent stages of the application process.

Considering the problems faced by applicants, MHADA has extended the deadline by a month, Pune Board chairman Shivaji Adhalrao-Patil said.
