Ministry of Mines accords 5 Star Rating to Essel Mining
Essel Mining’s Koira Iron Ore Mine was accorded the 5 Star Rating by the Indian Bureau of Mines, Ministry of Mines, Government of India at the recently held 2nd National Conclave on Mines & Minerals, in Delhi. The 5 Star Rating is the highest of its kind given to mining companies for confirming with the stringent standards of operation and for the implementation of the Sustainable Development Framework inclusive of community engagement.
Mr. Ashok Kumar Bal, CEO, India Mining Operations (Essel Mining) and Mr. Prasanna Kumar Panda, Sr. President & Unit Head received the award at the hands of Mr. Piyush Goyal, Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Mines, Power, Coal, New & Renewable Energy.
