Miraj–Samastipur One-Way Special Train via Pune to Run on August 4

Pune, 2nd August 2026: Central Railway will operate a one-way special train from Miraj to Samastipur via Pune on August 4 to clear the additional rush of passengers. The Train on Demand service will operate for a single trip on special charges.

Train No. 01481 Miraj–Samastipur One-Way Special will depart from Miraj at 10:20 am on Tuesday, August 4, and is scheduled to reach Samastipur at 5 am on Thursday, August 6.

The train will halt at Sangli, Karad, Satara, Pune, Daund Chord Line, Ahilyanagar, Belapur, Ankai, Manmad, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Manikpur, Prayagraj Chheoki, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Buxar, Ara, Danapur, Patliputra, Hajipur, Muzaffarpur and Samastipur, in addition to its originating station at Miraj.

Pune halt

The special train will provide an additional travel option for passengers boarding at Pune for destinations towards Bihar. The service is being introduced as a one-way operation to cater to the extra passenger rush.

20-coach train

Train No. 01481 will comprise 20 ICF coaches, including:

– 8 Sleeper Class coaches
– 10 General Second Class coaches
– 2 Guard/Luggage Vans (SLRD)

The General Second Class and Guard/Luggage Van coaches will be operated as unreserved coaches.

Booking details

Reservation for the Sleeper Class accommodation will open on August 3 through computerised Passenger Reservation System (PRS) ticket counters and the IRCTC website.

Passengers travelling in the unreserved coaches can book tickets through the UTS system, including the UTS app and booking counters. Normal charges applicable to Superfast/Mail/Express trains will apply.

Passengers have been advised to check the latest arrival and departure timings at intermediate stations before commencing their journey through the Indian Railways enquiry portal or the official NTES app.
