Pune, 19th April 2024: The 12-year-old girl named Ovi Pradip Rakshe, who went missing from her home in Nanded City at 2 PM yesterday following an argument with her parents, has been found safe in Ranjangaon. Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar personally intervened in the search for her in Wagholi at 10:30 PM, turning the area into a police camp.

After she left home, her parents searched for her, and her photo was widely circulated on social media by Shivbhau Pasalkar. A young man informed the police that she was in Wagholi around 8 PM.

She was seen eating vada pav from the Maharashtra Vada Pav stall at Kesnand Phata before leaving the area. Rickshaw driver Laxman Khaire picked her up from Alandi Phata and brought her to Wagholi. He spoke with her, but she assured him that her father would come for her, so he dropped her at the bus station.

Upon learning that the girl was missing, Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar entered Wagholi immediately, prompting the Pune police force to join the search. Eventually, she was reported to be safe in Ranjangaon, and Senior Police Inspector Kailas Kare of Lonikand Police Station travelled there to retrieve her.

After confirming her safety via a video call with her mother and the Commissioner of Police from Ranjangaon, the Commissioner returned to his station.
