Pune/Solapur, 4th August 2026: An elderly woman from Solapur has been missing for nearly 11 months, leaving her family desperately searching for answers. After exhausting all possible efforts and registering a police complaint, the family has now turned to social media with an emotional appeal, requesting citizens to share their video and photographs in the hope that someone may help reunite them with their loved one.

According to the complaint lodged at Sadar Bazar Police Station, Solapur City, the missing woman has been identified as Mirabai Sham Shingiri, a resident of Adarsh Nagar, opposite Ahilyabai School, Solapur.

As per the complaint filed by her son, Mahesh Sham Shingiri, on September 9, 2025, his mother left their residence on September 8, 2025, at around 8:00 am, informing the family that she was stepping out and would return shortly. Initially, the family believed she had gone to visit Mahesh’s sister and therefore did not suspect anything unusual.

However, when she failed to return even after several hours, Mahesh contacted his sister, who confirmed that Mirabai had not visited her. Realising something was wrong, the family immediately began searching for her.

According to the complaint, Mahesh and other family members searched extensively by contacting relatives, neighbours and people who knew Mirabai personally. Despite their continuous efforts and inquiries, they were unable to trace her, following which they approached the police and registered a missing person complaint.

The complaint describes Mrs. Mirabai Sham Shingiri as:
Mumbai
Name:Mirabai Sham Shingiri

Complexion: Fair

Height: Approximately 5 feet 5 inches

Language: Marathi

Family members said that despite the passage of several months, they have received no confirmed information regarding her whereabouts. They have appealed to citizens, particularly those in Pune and surrounding areas where she was reportedly last seen, to help by sharing her photographs and video on social media.

“Our only hope is that someone may recognize her and inform us or the police. A single share or one piece of information could help bring our mother back home,” the family said in its appeal.

The family has requested that anyone who has seen Mirabai Sham Shingiri or has any information regarding her whereabouts immediately contact the nearest police station or reach out to the family so that she can be safely reunited with her loved ones.
