Mohammadwadi: 20-Year-Old Dead, Another Seriously Injured After Motorcycle Goes Under Dumper
Pune, 21st September 2026: A 20-year-old man died and another sustained serious injuries after their motorcycle collided with a dumper in the Kale Padal area of Pune on Monday evening, police said.
According to Kale Padal Police Station, the accident occurred at around 5 pm near Mahadev Temple at Raheja Vista, Tower 7. The Splendor motorcycle went under the rear wheel of the dumper during the accident.
The deceased has been identified as Hamza Ibrahim Sarkar, aged around 20, police said. Another 20-year-old man, identified as Wasim Khan, sustained serious injuries and was shifted to a hospital for treatment.
The dumper involved in the accident bears registration number MH 12 VF 1965. Police have detained the driver, identified as Bhaganna Laxman Katbu, 34, for further investigation.
Police are investigating the circumstances that led to the accident. Further details are awaited.
