Mohammed Siraj's 6-Wicket Haul Restricts Sri Lanka to 50, India Set to Win Asia Cup 2023 Final Colombo, 17th September 2023: Mohammed Siraj's six-wicket haul skittled out Sri Lanka for a paltry 50 in the final of the Asia Cup 2023 on today, setting India a target of 51 to win the tournament for the eighth time. The score is the lowest in Asia Cup final match till date. Siraj was unplayable from the start, picking up three wickets in his first three overs. He then returned to clean up the tail, finishing with figures of 6/14 in 4.2 overs. Sri Lanka's batting collapsed completely, with none of their batsmen able to get into double figures. The only resistance came from Kusal Perera, who scored 15 runs. India, in reply, are expected to chase down the target easily. They have a strong batting lineup, led by Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and KL Rahul. The winner of this match will lift the Asia Cup trophy for the first time since 2019. India are the defending champions, having won the tournament in the T20 format in 2022.
