‘Money-Doubling Scam’: Doctor And Eight Others Cheated of Rs 1.47 Crore Through Bitcoin And Blue Peaks Fraud, Pune Police Investigation On

Pune, 10th April 2023: Nine people, including a doctor, have been cheated of Rs 1 crore 47 lakhs under pretext making their money double with lucrative schemes.

The incident took place at the Bitcoin and Blue Peaks Deposits and Advances Limited company office in Platinum Square in Sakorenagar, Vimannagar between May 2022 and the filing of this case yesterday.

The accused Imran Khan (35) of Kharadi was introduced to the doctor and the other investors through a friend. He attempted to lure the investors into investing their money in Bitcoin and Blue Peaks company by promising to double their earnings in just 12 months and offering a 15% return every month, respectively. The doctor was convinced and invested Rs 25 lakhs, while the other eight victims collectively invested Rs 1 crore 47 lakhs. They got some amount for three months and then the accused absconded.

The case has been registered against Khan, and police inspector Jaydeep Gaikwad is investigating.
