Movie Night Shock: Air Force Officer’s Home Burglarized in Dapodi

Dapodi, 27th January 2026: A burglary at the residence of an Indian Air Force officer in Dapodi saw burglars making away with jewelry worth over Rs 4 lakh, police reported. The incident occurred on Sunday night within the College of Military Engineering (CME) campus while the officer was away watching a movie.

The victim, Mukeshkumar Sudheshwar Singh (43), posted with the Indian Air Force, lodged a complaint at Dapodi Police Station, prompting authorities to register a case against unidentified suspects.

According to police, Singh had left home around 6 PM to watch the film Border 2. His residence, located inside the CME campus, was locked when he departed. On returning at approximately 11 PM, he discovered that burglars had forced open the padlock and latch to gain entry.

The burglars reportedly stole multiple pieces of gold jewelry, including necklaces, rings, chains, mangalsutras, bracelets, and other ornaments, with a total estimated value of Rs 4.4 lakh. Police are actively investigating the case and tracking down the culprits.
