MSEDCL Clears Over 1 Lakh Applications For New Domestic Connections In 10 Days, Pune Division Ranks Second
Pune 6th July 2023: The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Corporation Limited (MSEDCL) has cleared applications for over 1 lakh new electricity connections in the last 10 days in the state with an aim to provide hassle free service to the consumers. This includes 12,296 new connections cleared in the Pune division making it the second highest after Navi Mumbai in the state.
According to MSEDCL officials, a total of 1.17 lakh applications for new connections were pending on June 20. A total of 13,311 pending applications for new connection were clear in Navi Mumbai zone, 12,296 applications in Pune division and 8,915 applications in Baramati division were cleared by MSEDCL in the last ten days.
The MSEDCL officials were instructed to clear the pending applications on priority following which the process of clearing them was initiated. The officials have also said that the remaining pending applications will also be cleared on priority. A total of 59,918 applications were received after June 20 of which 20,561 applications were cleared in the first ten days.
