Six MLAs From Pune Supporting Ajit Pawar While Two Are With Sharad Pawar

Pune 6th July 2023: Amid the confusion over supporting the two groups formed after the revolt within the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), most of the MLAs from Pune have made their sides clear on Wednesday by attending the party meetings called by both Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar in Mumbai.

 

A total of six MLAs were present at the meeting called by Ajit Pawar while only two were spotted in Sharad Pawar’s meeting and one MLA is yet to decide on who should be support. This made it clear that Ajit Pawar has support of seven out of ten party MLAs in Pune district.

 

According to reports, Sunil Tingare from Wadgaon Sheri, Anna Bansode from Pimpri, Dattatray Bharne from Indapur, Sunil Shelke from Maval, Dilip Walse Patil from Ambegaon-Shirur, Dilip Mohite from Khed-Alandi are supporting Ajit Pawar while Chetan Tupe from Hadapsar and Ashok Pawar from Shirur-Haveli are supporting Sharad Pawar.

 

One MLA Atul Benke who was earlier claimed to be supporting Ajit Pawar was not spotted in any meeting hence he seemed confused over supporting one of the groups within NCP. Ashok Pawar was also spotted supporting Ajit Pawar earlier but later he joined Sharad Pawar and claimed that his signatures was taken by without telling him the full truth.

 

Two Member of Parliaments from Pune Amol Kolhe (Lok Sabha) and Vandana Chavan (Rajya Sabha) were also present at the Sharad Pawar’s meeting.

 

Meanwhile according to reports Ajit Pawar has sidelined his uncle by giving his name as the national president of the party.
