MSEDCL Junior Engineer Caught Taking Rs 10,000 Bribe

Daund, February 1, 2021: A junior engineer of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Limited (MSEDCL), Daund, was caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000. The name of the arrested public servant is Rahul Shrirang Lakde (32). A case has been registered against him at Daud police station.
According to ACB, Lakde is posted as a junior engineer in the Pimpalgaon branch office in Daund taluka. The complainant had applied for electricity connection for his poultry farm. The accused demanded a bribe of Rs 10,000 from him.
The complainant alerted the ACB which laid a trap and caught the accused engineer today while accepting the bribe money.
The action was taken under the guidance of Superintendent of Police (ACB-Pune range) Rajesh Bansode and Additional Superintendent of Police Suraj Gurav.
Police Inspector Jyoti Patil is further investigating the case
