MSEDCL Not Responsible For Power Disruption In Pune Metro, Say Officials

Pune 15th Oct 2023 : The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Corporation Limited (MSEDCL) in an official statement has clarified that they are not responsible for the power cut leading to disruption in services at the Pune Metro. This comes after the Metro train services were disrupted for around 21 minutes due to power issues.

The MSEDCL officials said that Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Corporation Limited (MSETCL) provides power supply to the Pune Metro and MSEDCL has no role in it. The officials have claimed that MSEDCL is unnecessary being blamed for the power disruption despite not having any role in providing services to the Pune Metro.

It may be noted that Pune Metro services were interrupted between Vanaz Metro Station to Ruby Hall Clinic for 21 minutes on Friday. The Metro officials had claimed that the power supply was disrupted due to sudden increase in the load on the power infrastructure that supplies electricity to the Pune Metro.
