Financial Distress Leads to Director’s Suicide In Pune: Four Individuals Face Charges
Chakan, October 15, 2023 : An incident unfolded in Nanekarwadi, Khed Taluka, as a director’s suicide was reportedly driven by severe financial distress linked to his colleagues. The incident occurred on the morning of October 13, leading to a case being registered against four individuals connected to the unfortunate circumstances.
The director who took his own life has been identified as Sanjay Vishnu Nanekar (53) and a resident of Nanekarwadi in the village of Khed. Rishikesh Sanjay Nanekar, aged 26, filed a complaint at the Chakan police station, prompting the authorities to take action against the accused individuals. Consequently, charges have been filed against Abhishek Diwakar Trivedi, an unidentified woman, and Amit Diwakar Trivedi, along with Diwakar Trivedi.
The police investigation revealed that the accused took control of the board of directors at Prepack Intercontinental Pvt. Ltd. to obtain a substantial loan using agricultural land registered in the name of Sanjay Nanekar, who is the father of the plaintiff. By appointing Sanjay Nanekar as a director, the accused secured a loan of Rs 1 crore 90 lakh from Sharad Sahakari Bank in 2018, using the land as collateral. The accused initially undertook the responsibility of repaying the loan, and some initial instalments were made. However, the accused stopped paying instalments from the year 2020.
Therefore, the bank started asking Sanjay Nanekar. Sanjay Nanekar repeatedly requested the accused to pay the loan. However, the accused did not pay that loan. Tired of this trouble, he committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence on October 13 in the morning. Chakan police are investigating.
