MSEDCL Shares WhatsApp Numbers To Report About Open Wires, Boxes Or Broken Cables In Pune Division
Pune 19th July 2023: The Maharashtr State Electricity Distribution Limited (MSEDCL) has released WhatsApp Helpline numbers for citizens to report about damaged electrical fuse wires, doors, broken cables, etc. in order to prevent accidents. The officials have appealed the citizens to report about such establishments of the power utility that pose danger.
The WhatsApp numbers have been made available in the daily control room (DSS Room) of the electricity distribution company under the respective regional departments to facilitate communication with citizens. The WhatsApp number for the areas that falls in the jurisdiction of Rasta Peth, Ganeshkhind and Pune Rural offices the WhatsApp number is 7875767123. Similarly, for the consumers in Baramati office the WhatsApp number is 7875768074.
“During the monsoon season, various factors such as heavy rainfall and strong winds can lead to electrical hazards. The possibilities include damaged power lines, fallen cables, broken fuse wires and feeder pillars, and cables exposed due to soil erosion, among others. In light of this, citizens have been advised to immediately contact the Regional Director, Mr. Ankush Nale, by providing information through WhatsApp or SMS to take prompt action” MSEDCL said in a statement.
For those who do not have WhatsApp can lodge complaints through SMS. The concerned complaints will be addressed accordingly. The coordination responsibility for resolving the received complaints rests with the Executive Engineer (Administration) and the Additional Executive Engineer (Administration) in the respective divisional offices.
