Mumbai Police Register FIR Against Arbaaz Khan, Sohail Khan And His son Nirvana For Violating COVID Quarantine Rule

Mumbai, January 4, 2021: An FIR has been registered by Mumbai Police against actor and producer Arbaaz Khan, Sohail Khan and Sohail’s son Nirvana Khan. BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has lodged the complaint against these three.

According to police, the three are accused of violating BMC rules at the Mumbai airport. On the 25th, the three had come to Mumbai from the UAE. At the time, the trio was asked for quarantine at Hotel Taj Lands End at the airport, but all three left for their home.

Mumbai Police spokesperson DCP Chaitanya S said that an FIR has been registered against Sohail, Arbaaz and Nirvana Khan. Mumbai Municipal Corporation officials had asked them to be quarantined, but they did not do so and went home. A case has been registered against them at Khar police station. No arrests have been made in the case so far. It is learned that Arbaaz and Sohail may be called for questioning.

According to the rules, passengers have to stay in the institutional quarantine for seven days. Accordingly, their booking was made in Taj Land. However, when the Municipal Corporation conducted a review on December 26, it came to light that the three had not gone there. It was revealed that the three had gone to each their homes. Therefore, an FIR has been registered against them.

The three will now be taken to the quarantine centre in Byculla. They will be kept there until January 9.

Meanwhile, Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that eight passengers from Maharashtra returning from the UK had symptoms of the new corona. Although the state is on high alert due to the new coronavirus in the UK, the central government will be asked to quarantine passengers arriving in Maharashtra from abroad.
