Mumbai, September 11, 2020: A special court today rejected the bail application of Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Shouvik in a drug case involving actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Rhea and Shouvik as well as Abdul Basit, Zaid Vilatra, Dipesh Sawant and Samuel Miranda also didn’t get the bail.

Now all the accused will appeal for bail in the Bombay High Court next week. On the other hand, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has filed an application for cancellation of bail granted to Kaizan Ibrahim from the court. The NCB has claimed in its application that Kaizan has direct contact with all the accused arrested in the drugs case related to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput.

Rhea has alleged in her bail that she was forced to give a statement during interrogation by NCB. She also claimed that she had not committed any crime and was being implicated in the case. Her application states that she is facing investigations of three central agencies simultaneously. This has adversely affected her mental state. Comparing the three other accused in the case with bail, the application states that Rhea and her brother have been charged with section 27 (A) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, while the drug was not found from them.
