Pune: Musical program ‘Kanada Ke Prakar’ on Friday May 19
Pune, May 15, 2023: Pune-based Prerana Music Organisation will conduct a special musical show ‘Kanada Ke Prakar’ on Friday, May 19, 2023 at the SM Joshi auditorium in Navi Peth from 5.30 PM. The entry to the program is free.
Senior vocalist Vidushi Saniya Patankar of Jaipur-Atrauli Gharana will perform in the event along with her disciples from all over India and she will be accompanied by Prashant Pandav, Abhinav Ravande and Kartikswami.
Vidushi Saniya Patankar said, “We don’t often hear the Ragas which are rendered in the night and types of Kanadas because Night melodies and Baithaks are becoming rare because of practical difficulties.Considering this, through the ‘Kanada Ke Prakar’ program, we want the audience to hear different types of Kanadas, including Darbari, Kaushi kanada, Nayaki, Abhogi, Kaafi Kanada, Shahana, Raysa, Suha, Bahar, Adana. More information about the types of Kanadas will also be given, that too at the convenient evening timing.”
In this program, different kanadas will be presented through traditional Bandishes, Tarana, Trivat, Thatmala and Sargamgeet etc. Swati Prabhumirashi will elaborate this concept through interwoven interesting compering.
