NAREDCO MAHI Launches Pune Chapter at Pune Growth Conclave 2025
Pune, September 11, 2025: NAREDCO MAHI, the women’s wing of the National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO), that works under the aegis of Ministry of Housing & Urbain Affairs, Govt. of India, announced the launch of its Pune Chapter during the NAREDCO Pune Growth Conclave 2025. The launch was graced by Shri Chandrakant Patil, Minister of Higher and Technical Education of Maharashtra, and Shri Jitendra Dudi (IAS), Collector of Pune, in the presence of Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani, Chairman, NAREDCO, Shri Rajan Bandelkar, Vice Chairman, NAREDCO, Mrs. Smita Patil, National President, NAREDCO MAHI, Shri Atul Charodia, Chairman, NAREDCO Pune, Shri Bharat Agrawal, President, NAREDCO Pune, and other leaders of the industry.
NAREDCO MAHI has been at the forefront of women engagement, sustainability, skilling, and inclusivity in India’s real estate sector, with flagship initiatives such as Shashwat Nirman (sustainable development), Nirmal Jal Prayas (water conservation), and dedicated women-centric skilling programs.
Shri Chandrakant Patil emphasized that women must take an active role in business and entrepreneurship. He stated that women’s participation brings fresh perspectives, strengthens family and community structures, and significantly contributes to economic growth and societal progress.
Speaking at the launch, Mrs. Smita Patil, National President of NAREDCO MAHI, said, “The launch of NAREDCO Mahi Pune marks a significant step in empowering women in this vibrant city’s real estate sector. With women now driving over 30% of home purchases in Pune and growing representation in consulting, finance, and legal roles, this chapter will provide them with a strong platform to connect, collaborate, and lead the future of real estate.”
She further added, “Our vision is to ensure that women are not just participants but changemakers in the sector. By focusing on mentorship, capacity building, and sustainability-driven practices, we will enable women professionals in Pune to contribute meaningfully to shaping the city’s growth story and India’s real estate landscape.”
Mr. Bharat Agarwal, President of NAREDCO Pune, reaffirmed his commitment to women empowerment, stating that he is determined to provide a strong platform for women in real estate to grow, lead, and succeed. He further highlighted that under his leadership, the NAREDCO NexGen wing has also been launched to empower youth and create opportunities for shaping the leaders of tomorrow.
The NAREDCO MAHI Pune Chapter will actively focus on skilling and capacity building for women, driving sustainable and green-certified developments, promoting water conservation, and creating greater inclusivity and leadership opportunities for women professionals in real estate.
