Narhe, 30th January 2026: Traffic on the Pune–Satara Highway will face temporary restrictions between the Katraj New Tunnel and Navale Bridge as authorities install speed control camera gantries in the area.

According to officials, the lane from Satara towards Mumbai will remain closed daily from 6 am to 8 am between February 3 and February 5. The two-hour morning shutdown is required to safely complete the installation work.

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has appealed to commuters to use alternate routes during this period. Motorists are advised to travel via the old Katraj tunnel and the service roads to avoid congestion and delays.

Project Director at the NHAI said the speed monitoring system is being installed to improve road safety and curb over-speeding on this accident-prone stretch of the highway.

Commuters heading towards Mumbai during peak hours are urged to plan their travel in advance and follow traffic advisories issued by the authorities.
