NCP Working Committee Approves Decision To Expel NCP Leaders Including Praful Patel And Sunil Tatkare

Pune 6ty July 2023: The Working Committee of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) on Thursday approved the decision of the party president Sharad Pawar to expel senior leaders Praful Patel, Sunil Tatkare and nine MLAs of Maharashtra for going against the party’s decision to join the ruling government in Maharashtra.

The committe members said that they have full faith and confidence in the National President Sharad Pawar. The members also said that they empower senior Pawar to initiate necessary actions against those who are acting against the political ethics, guidelines principles, policies and ideology of the party and whose actions are detrimental to the interest of the Party.

 

The meeting of the Working Committee of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) was held in Delhi on Thursday. Senior leaders of the party from various parts of the country were present in the meeting.

 

Earlier Ajit Pawar declared himself as the national president of the party and staked claim on the party name and symbol. He has also moved an application before the Election Commission of India for the same.

 

Meanwhile Ajit Pawar faction of the NCP in an official statement called the meeting held by senior Pawar illegal and said “The meeting of the National Executive/National Working Committee/ National Office Bearers / State Party Presidents of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has no legal sanctity whatsoever. Further, any of the decisions which may be taken in it shall have no valid legal basis and shall not be binding on anyone in the Party.”
