Neil Fernandes and Rajarshi Chanda from Infogain emerged as the winners at the Pune regional round of ‘Tata Crucible Corporate Quiz 2017’

Pune, 13 October 2017:  Neil Fernandes and Rajarshi Chanda from Infogain emerged as the winner of the Pune regional round of Tata Crucible Corporate Quiz 2017. The quiz, which will traverse 25 cities in India, is giving quizzing enthusiasts within corporate India a chance to lift the coveted trophy. Around 64 teams from prominent corporates across Pune participated in the event.

Mr. Sacheen Ratnaparkhi, Delivery Centre Head, Tata Consultancy Services, Pune felicitated the winners, who were awarded Rs 75,000/*, while the runners-up took home a prize money of Rs 35,000/*. In addition to the winners and runners-up, the other four teams that qualified in the top six were Dr. Sandeep Shankar and Dr. Anurakshat Gupta from Armed Forces Medical Services, Swathi PG and Nikhil Jadhav from Tata Motors, Pranav Pawar and Venkat Srinivasan from Extentia and Abhilekh Paul and Sneha Ranjan from Zensar.

The Tata Crucible Corporate Quiz 2017 format is based on the concept of ‘Real Time Strategy’ with an aim to create a simulation of the fast-paced environment, we all operate in. The format will revolve around contemporary gaming concepts and an invigorating set of rounds with decision making and strategy being the key to win the coveted title. As always, the renowned quizmaster Mr. Giri Balasubramaniam, popularly known as ‘Pickbrain’ hosted the competition in his unique and quirky style of quizzing. The Pune regional round observed amazing quizzing, with high scoring prelims and the winners being declared by a tie-breaker. The spirit of true sportsmanship and graciousness was witnessed at the quiz by teams allowing each other their space.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sacheen Ratnaparkhi, Delivery Centre Head, Tata Consultancy Services, Pune said, “The talent in the city is extremely mesmerizing. I was privileged to witness a high intensity, full of energy and enthusiastic quizzing. We saw the true spirit of crucible today.”

The city regional rounds followed by zonal finals, which will be organized in New Delhi (Zone 1), Kolkata (Zone 2), Mumbai (Zone 3) and Hyderabad (Zone 4). The top two teams from each zone will face each other to clinch the Tata Crucible Corporate Quiz 2017 title at the National Finals to be held in Mumbai on 15th October 2017.

The National winners will receive a prize money of Rs 5 lakhs* along with the Tata Crucible Trophy. The prizes for this year’s quiz are supported by Tata Motors and the Jaago Re campaign by Tata Global Beverages.
