New Police Hospital Opens in Wakad’s Kaveri Nagar for Pimpri Chinchwad Police Force

Pimpri Chinchwad, 13th December 2024: A new police hospital has been established within the limits of the Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate (PCPC). It was inaugurated today by Pimpri Chinchwad Commissioner of Police, Vinoy Kumar Choubey. With a total of 4,927 police personnel in the city, this hospital has been exclusively opened to cater to the healthcare needs of police officers and their families.

The job of a policeman is demanding and filled with sacrifices, including their health. Duties often extend beyond stipulated hours, sometimes lasting for days, disrupting sleep schedules, and making them prone to various health issues. To address this, the idea of a dedicated hospital for the health and well-being of police personnel was conceived. The hospital has been set up in Wakad’s Kaveri Nagar Police Line.

The hospital’s establishment and operations have been guided by Dr. Radhakishan Pawar and Dr. Yempalle. Health Officer Dr. Anupama Kamble and Dr. Sanjay Bharti, along with six additional healthcare professionals, will work to ensure the hospital functions efficiently.

Along with the contributing doctors, the inauguration event was attended by several police officials and personnel, with Commissioner of Police Vinoy Kumar Choubey officially inaugurating the hospital. The attendees included Joint Commissioner of Police Dr. Shashikant Mahavarkar, Additional Commissioner of Police Vasant Pardeshi, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Sandeep Doiphode, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters) Vivek Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 1) Swapna Gore, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 2) Vishal Gaikwad, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 3) Dr. Shivaji Pawar, and Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Bapu Bangar, along with other medical and police personnel.
