NHAI Revises FASTag Annual Pass Price; Commuters to Pay Rs 3,075 from April
New Delhi, 14th March 2026: Motorists who frequently travel on national highways will see a slight increase in the cost of the FASTag Annual Pass next month. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has approved a 2.5% hike, raising the fee for private vehicles from Rs 3,000 to Rs 3,075, effective April 1, 2026, for the financial year 2026–27.
The FASTag Annual Pass, introduced on August 15 last year, allows car owners to pass through toll plazas without stopping to pay individual tolls. The pass is valid for one year or up to 200 toll crossings, whichever comes first, and can be recharged multiple times to suit regular travellers. Over 52 lakh car owners have already subscribed to the scheme, highlighting its popularity among frequent highway users.
NHAI officials said the price revision follows the annual toll adjustment formula set by the government. Toll plaza operators have been instructed to implement the new rate from April 1, and only vehicles with an active FASTag linked to their account will be eligible for the pass. Motorists purchasing or recharging the pass before March 31 can still avail of the current ₹3,000 price.
To obtain the annual pass, drivers can apply online via the NHAI website or mobile app, complete the payment, and link the pass to their FASTag account. Once activated, the pass ensures uninterrupted highway travel without stopping at toll booths until the usage limit is reached.
Officials said the revision aims to balance operational requirements with commuter convenience, ensuring seamless highway travel while maintaining revenue standards for toll operations.
