Pune, 25th March 2023: The National Highways Authority of India, Pune, has issued an appeal to citizens to remove unauthorized hoardings, cables, stalls, and other encroachments at their own expense within the limits of the Pune-Satara National Highway No. 48.

The encroachments are mainly observed on the service roads on both sides of the highway between Khed Shivapur toll plaza and Dehu Road. These encroachments have resulted in an increase in the number of accidents on the highway.

The citizens have been given time until March 31st to remove these encroachments. The NHAI Pune office will not be responsible for any damage or inconvenience caused during the removal process. The eviction will be conducted under the Control of National Highways (Land and Traffic) Act 2002, and the relevant holders will have to bear the cost and penalty, NHAI Project Director Sanjay Kadam said.
