No relaxation from lockdown in Khadki Cantonment area

Khadki (Pune), May 20, 2020: There will be no relaxation in curfew measures during fourth phase of the lockdown in Khadki Cantonment Board (KCB) area where the number of COVID patients has reached 31. Two patients have died while 24 have been cured and discharged from hospitals. There are still five active patients admitted to different hospitals.

A meeting of the Cantonment was held today and it was decided to continue with the strict lockdown measures. The entire civil area of the Cantonment Board has been declared as micro containment zone which includes Indira Nagar Vasahat; Dargah Vasahat; GLR S. Nos. 89; 89-A; 90; 91; 92; 93; 108-A  and 134-B of outside Civil Area (Contiguous to Civil Area) with effect from 12 May 2020 for a period of 14 days.

Also, Defence Quarters No. 611; 6/2 and 8/1; 8/2; 8/3 on the junction of Arjun Road and Shahid Marg (Duncan Road), has been micro containment zone with effect from 12 May for a period of 14 days. Blocks no. 91-94, New DSC Colony, (Clarke Road) Ordnance Road, has been micro containment zone with effect from 13 May for a period of 14 days.

As per the orders and guidelines issued by the Government of India and the Government of Maharashtra no movement of the public shall be allowed in and out of the containment zone except for the supply of goods, essential goods shops and movement for medical emergencies. The time period for the above purposes in micro containment zones from 10 am to 2 pm.

“It is further ordered that in the areas under non-micro containment zones, keeping in view the health and hygiene and possibility of spread of the virus in non-micro containment zone the movement of the public shall be allowed only for the supply of goods, essential goods shops and movement for medical emergencies. The time period has now been relaxed for the above purposes in non-micro containment zones from 10 am to 5 pm”, stated order issued by KCB Chief Executive Officer Pramod Kumar Singh.

Also, all the Central and State Government offices, Banks, ATMs and other official institutions shall work as per the orders and guidelines of Government of India, Government of Maharashtra; District Authorities and District Health Authorities.
