No Vaccination In Pune On Saturday, Vaccines Available At 12 Centres In PCMC Area

Pune/Pimpri, 21st May 2021: Due to a shortage of vaccines, all the vaccination centres under Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) will be closed on Saturday (May 22), informed Pune Mayor Murlidhar Mohol.

 

He said, “I have sent letters to the central and state governments for allowing PMC to directly procure vaccines from the Serum Institute of India which is based in Pune. There is some technical problem in the procurement which I hope will be sorted out soon.”

 

Meanwhile, Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has informed that 12 vaccination centres will remain open on Saturday for people above 45 years of age.

 

Covishield:  100 doses will be available at each of the following centres for first and second doses for people above 45 years of age:

1 Yamunanagar Hospital

2 Talera Hospital

3 Savitribai Phule School Bhosari

4 New Jijamata Hospital

5 Acharya Atre Hall near YCM Hospital

6 Khinvasara Patil Hospital, Thergaon

7 New Akurdi Hospital

8 Kasarwadi Hospital

 

Covaxin: 100 doses of Covaxin will be available at each of the following four centres for the second dose only:

1 New Bhosari Hospital

2 Near Ahilya Devi Holkar School Sangvi Hospital

3 Yamunanagar Hospital

4 Talera Hospital

“The beneficiaries in the age group of 18 to 44 years will not be vaccinated at the above vaccination centres. Therefore, the beneficiaries in the age group of 18 to 44 years should not rush to the vaccination centres”, PCMC has appealed.
