Now Extortion, Dacoity Cases Registered Against Goon Gajanan Marne, MCOCA Can Be Also Invoked Against Him
Pimpri Chinchwad, 1st March 2021: After his release from Taloja jail, notorious goon Gajanan Marne’s supporters had staged a procession on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. At Urse toll plaza, Marne and his accomplices did not pay the toll. Now an extortion case has been registered in this regard, said Commissioner of Police Krishna Prakash.
According to police, the accused persons also did not pay for Vadapav, sandwiches and water bottles at the food mall. A case of dacoity has been registered against Marne and his accomplices in this regard. Both the cases have been registered at Shirgaon police station.
Pimpri-Chinchwad Police chief Krishna Prakash also said that action would be taken against the culprits under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA).
Meanwhile, 36 people have been arrested so far and 14 luxury vehicles have been seized in the case related to the illegal procession on the expressway.
