Pune, June 5, 2020: COVID19 crisis is bringing paradigm shift in our lives and police force is also not untouched with this. Under the leadership of Commissioner of Police, Dr K Venkatesham, Pune City police has taken active steps for maintaining social distancing and to provide alternative for physical meeting of citizen with police officials.

Police stations are the first interface where aggrieved citizens visit and meet police officials for grievance redressal. Hence keeping in mind the importance of social distancing to tackle COVID19, Pune City Police is introducing V-Appointment facility for seeking Video-Call based Virtual Appointments with senior officials of the Pune police for grievance redressal. “This system will help citizens of Pune to schedule appointment and meet police officials online without visiting police station. Citizens can seek appointment through a web-portal and meet the officials through video-call. Thus there will be no need to come physically to meet senior officials at police stations / offices. Through this system we are providing an alternative to the people who are not able to meet senior officers due to lockdown and Coronavirus epidemic”, said Ravindra Shisve, Joint Commissioner of Police (law and order).
