‘Nrityavandana’ Program In Pune To Commemorate Contributors To Classical Dance

Pune, 24th March 2023: Pune is set to commemorate veterans in the field of art on the occasion of the Amritmahotsav of Independence through a unique program called ‘Nrityavandana’. The program, which will take place at Pandit Farm in Kothrud, Pune on March 26, is an initiative of MLA Chandrakant Patil and the Classical Dance Conservation Society Pune.

Around one thousand classical dance artists from Pune city will perform their art to celebrate those who have contributed immensely in the field of classical dance. Well-known classical dancers such as Shama Bhate, Manisha Sathe, and Sucheta Chafekar will provide guidance to the performers, while dancers including Arundhati Patwardhan, Rasika Gumaste, and Leena Ketkar, among others, will showcase their skills.

The event will be graced by Union Culture Minister Kisan Reddy and State Cultural Affairs Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar as chief guests. This program is open to all, and organizers Ajay Dhongde and Punit Joshi have appealed to attendees to come in maximum numbers.

The initiative aims to honor those who have contributed significantly to the development of the country in the last 75 years of independence. Through various cultural programs such as ‘Nrityavandana,’ the country is remembering and recognizing the contributions made by veterans in different fields.
