Kondhwa, 24th March 2023: A gang vandalized 14 vehicles in the Tilekarnagar area of Kondhwa as an act of revenge and to gain dominance. The vehicles included six cars, four tempos, three two-wheelers, and a rickshaw.

The Kondhwa police have arrested three people in this case and detained their four minor accomplices. The police stated that the gang vandalized the vehicles in retaliation for an attack on a friend.

The arrested individuals are Hrushikesh Shankar Gore (20), Sushil Dada Dalvi (20), and Pravin Shivaji Bhosale (18), all residents of Kondhwa. Sanjeev Kumar Dhani (49) has filed a complaint at Kondhwa Police Station.

According to police, the dispute between two gangs over ‘power’ in the Tilekarnagar area of Kondhwa led to the incident. On the night of 22nd March, 12 to 14 people arrived in the Tilekarnagar area on two-wheelers armed with swords and other weapons. The gang vandalized six cars, three two-wheelers, four tempos, and a rickshaw, causing significant damage to 14 vehicles.

Meanwhile, in the Sukhsagarnagar area of Bibvewadi, a young man was attacked with a sharp weapon and suffered a hand injury due to a petty dispute. Doctors have surgically reattached the palm to the wrist. This incident is the preliminary reason why the gang went to Kondhwa and vandalized the vehicles.

The victim, Akhilesh Chandrakant Kalshetty (22), a resident of Katraj, has been seriously injured. Abhijeet Dudhanikar, a resident of Katraj, had filed a police complaint against the accused a few days ago after an argument. Abhijeet and his friend Akhilesh were on a two-wheeler when the accused stopped them near the Khandoba temple and attacked them, asking if they had filed a police complaint against them.

The matter is being investigated by assistant police inspector Ghawate.
