One-Day Market Yard Bandh in Pune Demands Withdrawal of False Atrocity and Molestation Cases

Pune, 20th April 2023: Market Yard in Pune is shut today due to a one-day bandh called by various organizations. The bandh was called to demand that the cases of atrocity and molestation filed against the former administrators, officers, employees of the Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) Pune be canceled.

A statement was given to the Market Yard Police Station on behalf of all organizations to withdraw the charges. The petition was also filed with the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of the state.

The demand for cancellation of the cases was made six months after lemon sellers were completely banned from the market, and cases of atrocity and molestation were filed against the officers and Adte in this case. The market was closed for one day as a mark of protest by various organizations in the Market Yard through a statement to withdraw the false charges immediately.

The protesters demanded that the cases be withdrawn, and the people who filed the false cases should be punished. They also said that the closure of the market had caused significant losses to farmers and traders. The protesters urged the government to take necessary action to address their grievances.

The Market Yard is an important hub for farmers and traders in the region, and the one-day closure caused inconvenience to many.
