‘One State, One e- challan’ project started in 32 districts

Mumbai, 5 September 2019: The State Home Department launched ‘One State, One e- challan’ project.  Under this project, an application (app) named ‘Mahatraffic’ has been started for knowing the number of fines on traffic violations and other information related to the traffic offenders.  There are two different apps for Mumbai Police and for other police personnel throughout the state.  This app can be downloaded on iOS and Android devices.

 

The information of e-challan can be obtained at a click of finger from Mumbai traffic app and Maha traffic app.  All the relevant information about the challan and paying of penalties is now made simple and hassle-free.

 

In this application, under ‘My Vehicle’ section there is sufficient information about the traffic violation charges and fines laid on the offenders.  This information is given by entering the vehicle number, chasis /engine number. In ‘My e-challan’ information on the challan is given. Payment option is made available for the paying the challan.  This app is creating transparency and is effectively helping in taking stringent actions against the traffic offenders.
