Online Food Order Blunder: Pure Vegetarian Government Employee Served Chicken Instead Of Veg Crispy In Wagholi

Wagholi, 17th March 2025: A government employee in Wagholi, who follows a strict vegetarian diet, was left in shock and distress after an online food order went terribly wrong. Expecting to enjoy a plate of veg crispy from a local restaurant, he instead ended up tasting chicken, leading to an emotional and ethical crisis.
According the information received, the man, a staunch vegetarian and follower of the Warkari community, had planned a quiet evening with his wife while their children were away at an event. The couple decided to order veg crispy from a restaurant in Wagholi through an online food delivery platform. When the food arrived, the man eagerly took a bite—only to realize that the taste was unfamiliar and seemed unusual, prompting the man to inform his wife.
Upon closely examining the dish, his wife discovered that it was not vegetarian at all—it was chicken. The realization struck hard, and the man felt deeply disturbed, believing he had committed a grave sin due to the restaurant’s mistake. His distress escalated as he struggled with the thought that his lifelong commitment to vegetarianism had been broken against his will.
Determined to take action, he immediately went to the police station to report the incident. However, the police advised him to approach the consumer forum for redressal. Meanwhile, the restaurant owner learned about the blunder and rushed to meet the employee, profusely apologizing and begging for forgiveness.
The man later shared his traumatic experience on social media to warn others. He urged strict vegetarians to order only from purely vegetarian restaurants and avoid places that serve both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food to prevent such incidents.
