“Operation Sindoor Is a Just Response to Terror”: RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Backs Army Action

New Delhi, 9th May 2025: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat recently posted on social media, sharing his reaction to the Pahalgam attack that killed 26 civilians and to Operation Sindoor, which was carried out in the early hours of 7th May. Bhagwat described Operation Sindoor as a major step taken by the Government of India and the Indian Army and congratulated them for their decisive action.

RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat wrote, “Operation Sindoor is an important step under the leadership of the Government of India and executed by the Indian Army. Ever since the massacre carried out by those merciless terrorists, citizens across the country have felt that the victims’ families must get justice, this has been the nation’s sentiment. This operation was a response to that demand. We congratulate the Indian government and the defence forces for this action.”

He further said, “After India carried out Operation Sindoor, the morale of the entire country has been lifted and we are filled with pride. The response given by the Indian Army to Pakistan’s actions was both important and inevitable. A conflict is underway between India and Pakistan, and in such a time of crisis, we stand firmly with the government and the armed forces, with our body, mind, and resources (Tan, Man, Dhan). The Pakistani army is carrying out indiscriminate attacks on civilians, targeting border areas and religious sites. We extend our sympathies to those who lost their lives in these attacks and share in the grief of their families.”

Bhagwat continued, “We are currently in a war-like situation. In this challenging time, we appeal to our fellow citizens to strictly follow the instructions and directives issued by the government. It is a time to demonstrate our unity against anti-national forces. Every citizen must fulfill their duty, comply with government guidance, and fully cooperate with national efforts. We should support all government actions necessary to ensure national unity and security.”

He concluded with a call for solidarity, emphasizing that national interest must remain paramount during this period of crisis.
